En la hora libre, antes de la clase, leía “The Undiscovered Self” de Carl Jung (que sin entrar en profundas discusiones filosóficas, es un escritor de primera y eso nadie lo puede debatir) y llegué a una cita sobre la individualidad en días que estamos tocando el tema de la legitimidad científica de la psicología social debido a la subjetividad que implica trabajar con individuos (cuya característa principal es la INDIVIDUALIDAD) que resonó con mi razonamiento. Sin más preámbulo:
“Firstly, the individual psyche, just because of its individuality, is an exception to the statistical rule and is therefore robbed of one of its main characteristics when subjected to the leveling influence of statistical evaluation. Secondly, the Churches grant it validity only in so far as it acknowledges their dogmas-in other words, when it surrenders to a collective category. In both cases the will to individuality is regarded as egotistic obstinacy. Science devaluates it as subjectivism, and the Churches condemn it morally as heresy and spiritual pride.”
Y mientras permitimos que la religión práctica y la teórica se recuperen de esa, los dejo con este viejito encantador.
